What Is Agentforce Revenue Management (Formerly Revenue Cloud)?
Agentforce Revenue Management is Salesforce’s suite for the full revenue lifecycle, covering product catalog, configuration, quoting, contracts, ordering, billing, and asset management. Renamed from Revenue Cloud, it licenses Revenue Cloud Advanced, Revenue Cloud Growth, and Revenue Cloud Billing.
Revenue Cloud Advanced, or RCA, is the successor to Salesforce CPQ and the part most buyers mean by “Revenue Cloud.” CPQ ran as a managed package that executed its logic browser-side through sequential rules, while RCA is native to the platform, runs that logic server-side through declarative procedures, and exposes every revenue operation as an API, so Agentforce agents can quote and amend on RCA and could not on CPQ.
Salesforce still uses several of these names at once: CPQ became Revenue Cloud, then Revenue Lifecycle Management, then Revenue Cloud Advanced, and now Agentforce Revenue Management. Salesforce was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for CPQ.
Start With the Catalog, Not the Configuration
The decisions that shape an RCA program are catalog and configuration design decisions, and they get made before any build starts. That is why most Atrium engagements open with a health check or a blueprint rather than a sprint plan.
Your revenue model is your commercial strategy expressed as logic. No standard configuration knows which of your SKUs should have survived the last three acquisitions, or how the catalog is supposed to hold together after them.
What Ships Inside Revenue Cloud Advanced
The full component list, grouped into four segments. Open the one you are scoping.
Product Catalog Management holds an attribute-based catalog where attributes are inherited through a product classification, which is what makes a large catalog maintainable. Named, ordered procedures built from reusable elements run server-side rather than in the browser, and the Decision Explainer logs every step, so you can finally answer why a quote came out the way it did. Guided Product Selection replaces CPQ’s guided selling.
The Product Configurator is constraint-based rather than rules-based, authored in Constraint Modeling Language through code or the visual Constraint Builder, so bidirectional constraints replace ordered rule chains. Transaction Management puts quoting and ordering on standard Salesforce objects using the Sales Transaction Line Editor, and includes ramp deals, the RCA equivalent of CPQ’s multi-dimensional quoting. Advanced Approvals is now native, with serial and parallel routing, smart approvals, and approvals in Slack.
Salesforce Contracts covers native contract authoring with template and clause libraries, AI clause generation, redline summarization, compliance checks, e-signature, and post-signature obligation management. Asset Lifecycle Management runs amendments, renewals, and cancellations against assets rather than subscription records, writing an asset action that chains through the asset’s history. That amendment model is genuinely different from CPQ’s and it surprises most teams.
Revenue Cloud Billing covers billing schedules, invoice runs, tax, payments, dunning, collections, credit and debit memos, and financial accounting with dual journal entries and period close. Dynamic Revenue Orchestrator decomposes a commercial order into sub-orders and runs them through a fulfillment plan with dependencies, SLA jeopardy rules, and fallout handling, which is how Salesforce positions it as replacing point-to-point CPQ integrations. Usage and rate management covers consumption-based revenue models. Revenue Management Intelligence adds Tableau Next dashboards over a Data 360 connection, and Agentforce for Revenue Management supplies quoting and billing agents that run under the invoking user’s permissions.
How Do You Migrate from Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud Advanced?
Treat it as a redesign, not a migration. That is Salesforce’s own instruction and the most useful sentence written about these projects: Revenue Management is a different system with a different data model, so porting your existing configuration is usually the wrong goal.
Salesforce CPQ is end of sale, not end of life. Existing customers keep their licenses, can add users, can renew, and continue to receive support and critical fixes. Salesforce has not announced an end-of-life date and has said plainly that CPQ is not being switched off. What changed is where Salesforce’s development goes, and CPQ will not receive new features. Our Salesforce CPQ page covers what end of sale does and does not mean for existing customers.
The numbers set a realistic frame. Salesforce reports that a typical migration runs three to six months from discovery through go-live, and that roughly 15% of RCA customers today came from Salesforce CPQ. Salesforce’s own internal move produced a 75% decrease in quoting time and an 87% reduction in clicks.
There is no automated Salesforce migration tool, and the partner tools Salesforce has vetted cannot migrate Apex or Quote Calculator Plugin code, integrations, document templates, or page layouts and permission sets. That is where scope actually lives, and the volume of your custom quoting logic is the single strongest predictor of total effort.
What Changes Across Your Revenue Lifecycle
Revenue Cloud Advanced touches every stage between a product idea and recognized revenue. These are the six places clients see the difference first.
Integrated Marketing & Sales Enablement
Optimize marketing and sales processes by identifying target audiences, scoring leads, and automating workflows. Enable your sales team to instead focus on high-value opportunities and close deals faster.
Centralized Quoting
A centralized product catalog enables omnichannel commerce, increasing cross-selling/upselling opportunities. Streamlined quoting, approvals, and renewals improve efficiency and accuracy, leading to faster sales cycles.
Streamlined Contracting
Integrated contract lifecycle management streamlines approvals, tracks obligations, and promotes template reuse, reducing legal communication and negotiation time, boosting productivity and maximizing customer lifetime value.
Dynamic Order Orchestration & Fulfillment
Ensure accurate order processing with real-time inventory integration and dynamic fulfillment, minimizing errors and delays. Support complex billing models and reduce provisioning times as well.
Intelligent Billing & Invoicing
Automated billing and back-office processes simplify subscription management, invoicing, and adjustments, as well as reducing disputes and enhancing the customer experience.
Revenue Recognition & Compliance
Automate accounts receivable processes, including payments, dunning, and collections, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
Revenue Complexity Looks Different in Every Industry
Revenue models and asset structures are not the same in financial services, technology and software, healthcare and life sciences, and manufacturing, and the catalog design has to reflect that.
Revenue Cloud Advanced FAQ
Is Revenue Cloud the same thing as Agentforce Revenue Management?
Yes. Agentforce Revenue Management is the current name for the suite Salesforce previously called Revenue Cloud. The products licensed inside it are Revenue Cloud Advanced, Revenue Cloud Growth, and Revenue Cloud Billing. Salesforce still uses the older names in places, including its own URLs and product pages.
What is the difference between Revenue Cloud Growth and Revenue Cloud Advanced?
Revenue Cloud Growth covers core quoting and approvals for simpler revenue models. Revenue Cloud Advanced adds the full component set, including advanced configuration, asset lifecycle management, usage and rate management, and Dynamic Revenue Orchestrator. Contract lifecycle management is included with Advanced and available as an add-on with Growth.
Is Salesforce CPQ end of life?
No. Salesforce CPQ is end of sale, which means Salesforce no longer sells new CPQ licenses to new customers. Existing customers keep their licenses, can add users, can renew, and continue to receive support and critical fixes. Salesforce has not announced an end-of-life date and has stated that CPQ is not being switched off, but CPQ is in a maintenance phase and will not receive new features.
How long does a CPQ to Revenue Cloud Advanced migration take?
Salesforce reports that a typical migration runs three to six months from discovery through go-live. The strongest predictor of effort is the volume and complexity of your custom quoting logic, particularly custom Quote Calculator Plugin JavaScript, which cannot be migrated automatically and has to be reimplemented. Catalog rationalization and reporting redesign drive the rest of the timeline.
Can we run Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Cloud Advanced at the same time?
Yes, and Salesforce officially supports it. Coexistence requires both the Revenue Cloud Advanced and Revenue Cloud Billing licenses with billing enabled in Revenue Management, and Salesforce publishes coexistence guidance for CPQ, Salesforce Billing, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and B2B Commerce. Phased cutover by business unit or product line is the most common approach.
What does a Revenue Cloud consulting partner do?
A Revenue Cloud consulting partner designs the future-state catalog, configuration, and asset model, reimplements quoting logic that cannot be migrated automatically, rebuilds reporting, and runs the change program, then supports the platform after go-live. Salesforce recommends engaging a systems integrator during the design phase rather than after it. Salesforce’s vetted migration tools cover catalog data and explainability reporting, but not custom code, integrations, or documents.
