What Is Agentforce Sales (formerly Sales Cloud)?
Agentforce Sales is Salesforce’s sales force automation product for leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities, activity capture, forecasting, territory management, and analytics. Salesforce began renaming it in the Agentforce 360 rebrand that also turned Data Cloud into Data 360, and it has been a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation for nineteen consecutive years.
That rename is still in progress rather than finished. Salesforce’s product page carries the new name while its title tag, pricing table, and free-trial CTA still say Sales Cloud, and your SKUs and renewal paperwork will too. Read the product as three layers: the editions, from Free Suite and Starter Suite through Pro Suite, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Agentforce 1 Sales; Agentforce for Sales, the agent and reasoning layer running on the Atlas Reasoning Engine inside the Trust Layer; and Data 360, the grounding layer feeding agents conversation, customer, and external data.
An Agent Ready Foundation
Atrium’s practice starts with the number leadership leans on hardest, usually the forecast. We build the data foundation, the models, and the dashboards first, then put agents on top, because AI scales whatever discipline is already there.
The fastest return on this platform comes from the unglamorous work: activity capture your reps never have to think about, a set of opportunity fields people are willing to maintain, and a forecast built as a model rather than a manual roll-up.
What Ships Inside Sales Cloud
The component list, grouped into four. Open the one you need.
Salesforce Forecasting is the primary name, with Collaborative Forecasts now the alias, and it splits into Pipeline Forecasting and Consumption Forecasting, the latter requiring Data 360. It supports Manager Judgments, Adjustments, Forecast Quotas, Territory Forecasts, Point-in-Time Forecast Submissions, and Forecast Guidance from Agentforce, with Einstein Predictive Forecasting adding machine-generated projections alongside the human roll-up. Pipeline Inspection gives one consolidated pipeline view with week-over-week change signals, inline editing, engagement heatmaps, and AI risk flags, and June 2026 added a deal-risk Alerts column, MEDDIC and MEDDPICC support, AI summarization, and an Agent Activity column.
Sales Engagement is the inside-sales console that replaced the name High Velocity Sales, building multi-step Cadences into a single prioritized work queue and bundling Einstein Activity Capture, Buyer Assistant, Prospecting Center, and Sales Cloud Everywhere. Sales Dialer is a separate SKU for click-to-dial with automatic call logging, and Salesforce Inbox now means the Outlook and Gmail integrations. Conversation Intelligence, still labeled Einstein Conversation Insights in help documentation, turns calls into Call Insights, Call Summaries, Call Explorer, Sales Signals, and coaching clips.
Sales Territories was renamed from Enterprise Territory Management and is included in the edition, while Sales Planning is a separate add-on that now holds Territory Planning, so the three names get confused constantly. The Sales Performance Management Suite bundles quotas, plans, territories, and incentives. Salesforce Spiff automates commission calculation, Salesforce Maps plots CRM records and builds optimized field routes, and Sales Programs uses a no-code Program Builder with a Guidance Center, AI pitch practice, and Revenue Milestones, with Partner Tracks delivering the same engine to channel partners.
Revenue Intelligence is the purpose-built revenue analytics license and the only route to the Pipeline Inspection flow chart, covering Revenue Insights dashboards, Sales Rep Command Center, Sales Stage Analysis, Forecast Insights, Commit Calculator, Einstein Opportunity Scoring, and Deal Health Insights. Einstein Lead Scoring, Sales Account Research, and Sales Account Plans carry the account-intelligence work, and Sales Workspace plus the Sales Insights app on Data 360 and Tableau Next carry the reporting. Agentforce for Sales is the add-on behind the sales agents, eligible on Enterprise, Unlimited, and Performance editions and unmetered for employees in Agentforce 1 Sales.
Which Agentforce Sales Agents Can You Deploy Today?
Several, and the documented list is longer than the launch announcement suggests. Which ones earn their keep depends on the data underneath them. Salesforce’s lineup covers prospecting, engagement, account research and meeting prep, pipeline management, quoting, and partner success, with the prospecting agent available. Salesforce claims 30% more revenue and 25 hours a week back per seller, and reports that on its own internal deployment agents contacted 130,000 leads and created 3,200 opportunities in four months.
Two things worth knowing before you scope. Help documentation runs a second taxonomy alongside the marketing one: Agentforce SDR was renamed Agentforce Lead Nurturing, and there is a Qualification Agent, a Lead Generation Agent, and an Account Management Agent in the documentation that the announcement never named. Agentforce Sales Coach is still a named and heavily documented agent despite its absence from that list.
Agents ground in whatever your org holds, so activity capture and field hygiene are the first line item rather than the last. Where quoting agents are the goal, the constraint is usually the revenue side, which is why that work sits with our Revenue Cloud Advanced consulting team.
Get the Insights You Need
Use Sales Cloud for the use cases that matter. Retain and expand your customer base and improve sales forecasting for your organization.
We’ve been experts in this space for years and have developed a series of pre-built components to accelerate your speed to value.
Acquire new customers with a propensity-to-convert model, so sellers spend their time on the prospects that actually close. The model reads your own won and lost history rather than a generic template.
Churn risk surfaces while there is still time to act on it, scored on product usage, support history, and engagement rather than on a renewal date. Account teams get a ranked list, not a report to interpret.
Whitespace models show which accounts are ready for which product, and why. Expansion stops depending on which rep remembered to ask, and the recommendation lands on the account record.
Leadership gets a forecast built as a model with a method behind it, not a roll-up of stage weightings. We tell you the confidence interval, and we tell you when your history is too thin to model honestly.
Sales Cloud + Industry Expertise = Business Success
We may be Salesforce Sales Cloud experts, but we also come with real-world industry knowledge. Here’s a look at a few we focus on, in addition to many others where we have proven Salesforce strategy, implementation, and optimization success.
Proven Success With Salesforce Sales Cloud
Avaya’s forecasting process required countless hours from multiple teams each quarter. To produce accurate forecasts, valuable time was spent discussing the likelihood of opportunities to close in the field, manually adjusting weightings, validating inputs, and aggregating data.
Learn how we rebuilt Avaya’s forecasting on a model rather than a manual roll-up, cutting the time multiple teams spent validating inputs each quarter.
Sales Cloud FAQ
Is Sales Cloud now Agentforce Sales, and does that change our licensing?
Salesforce is renaming Sales Cloud to Agentforce Sales, a transition it began at Dreamforce ’25 in October 2025 as part of Agentforce 360, and it is still in progress. Your licensing does not change. Release updates are identical under both names, and Salesforce SKUs, pricing pages, and trial CTAs still say Sales Cloud.
What does the Agentforce for Sales add-on include?
Agentforce for Sales is the AI and agent layer, adding the prebuilt sales agents plus generative and predictive AI across prospecting, pipeline, coaching, and quoting. It is eligible on Enterprise, Unlimited, and Performance editions, and Agentforce 1 Sales bundles unmetered usage for employees.
Which Agentforce sales agents are generally available today?
Salesforce’s March 2026 announcement named six: prospecting, engagement, account research and meeting prep, pipeline management, quoting, and partner success, with the prospecting agent available from March 30, 2026. Help documentation uses different names for several of them, including Agentforce Lead Nurturing, the renamed Agentforce SDR, so confirm against your own org before you scope.
What is the Lightning Sync migration deadline?
Lightning Sync retires in April 2027, but orgs running it with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Web Services must migrate before August 2026, because Microsoft retires Exchange Web Services in October 2026. Government Cloud is exempt, Salesforce Inbox users should complete the move to Microsoft Graph by August 3, 2026, and the target for both is Einstein Activity Capture.
Is Sales Cloud Einstein still available?
Not as a purchasable add-on. Sales Cloud Einstein has been replaced commercially by Agentforce for Sales and no longer appears on Salesforce’s add-ons page, though the name survives in setup documentation. Salesforce has published no formal end-of-sale notice, so confirm your entitlement.
What does a Sales Cloud consulting partner do?
A Sales Cloud consulting partner maps your sales process, designs the data model and forecast method, implements and integrates the platform, builds the predictive models behind pipeline and churn, deploys and tests any Agentforce agents, then supports it after go-live. On a mature org the highest-value work is usually rationalization rather than new build.
