September is the first of the “Ber” months. To some, this means the end of the year is in sight. Hold up, September is still Q3! But for the Luminate 2020 class at Atrium, this month marks the end of their first year.
Indeed, it’s been a very productive 2021, and our rookie team was a huge part of our success. As they move into their second year, ready to take on mentorship of the next Luminate class, we asked them to give us a retrospect. We’re very happy to see that being a part of the family has helped them develop professionally and that they feel a sense of community. Check out what they had to say below!
Tyler Pollard
I’m an Analytics Consultant at Atrium. Upon my first anniversary at Atrium, I feel very appreciative of my colleagues and the company’s culture. Almost immediately after starting here, I felt well-educated on the ins and outs of consulting and systems of intelligence by the Luminate program. Over the past year, I have felt challenged, yet supported, in every project endeavor. This is truly a wonderful place to grow and work.

It has been an amazing experience working in Atrium. The training in the starting months was really beneficial and helped in developing both technical and soft skills. The environment here has a positive vibe and encourages everyone to grow. I am fortunate to have started my career with Atrium, as it focuses on growth of employees. The complexity of the work has really helped me step out of my comfort zone and realize my potential. The cultural environment in Atrium gives a true sense of family and I am glad to be a part of the Atrium family.

I’m a part of the Elevate team working in Data Science and Analytics. My year at Atrium has helped me develop my personal and professional goals. I feel very fortunate to have started my professional career at a company so devoted to professional development of its employees. Not only have I been given ample opportunities to flourish on my own, but I have also been given great mentorship by my colleagues that has led to a wonderful learning environment. Reflecting on this past year feels really crazy because I have managed to grow so much in such a short amount of time. The Luminate program and Atrium team have helped me grow in both my technical skills and my soft skills and have helped to push me out of my comfort zone and challenge me. I am still surprised by how many people from across the company have mentored me or reached out just to chat. The culture and people at Atrium cannot be topped! I am really grateful for this past year at Atrium and couldn’t think of a better place to start off my career.

As an Analytics Consultant on the Elevate team, the Luminate program provided the groundwork for a smooth transition from academia to real industry experience. I am fortunate to have begun my career with a company that sees value in developing employees’ skills and pursuing personal goals. Although there have been challenges along the way, I never feel alone in my endeavors due to Atrium’s great culture and mentorship. It has been a great year for me. It started with four months of training led by my seniors, who were amazing mentors. I got the chance to learn multiple technologies and tools, obtain multiple certifications and write multiple tech blogs with the guidance of my colleagues. After working on a couple of projects, I feel more confident and skilled. I participated in mostly all of the activities held during the year, which helped me communicate with my colleagues across the organization. I have found a true sense of belonging, respect and involvement at each level. I am glad to be a part of this company and an awesome team.
