Get to Know Atrium’s 2020 India Luminate Crew

We recently welcomed our 2020 U.S. Luminate group, and now we present to you another new Luminate crew — based in Jaipur, India! In case you’re unfamiliar with Luminate, it’s our program for recent college graduates that provides real-world consulting training and experience.

We interviewed our India Luminate crew to find out more about what they studied and what they hope to learn at Atrium. We also asked Sandeep Dingh, General Manager of Atrium India, to discuss the evolution of India Luminate and what makes this group unique.

Sandeep Dingh, General Manager of Atrium India:

With rapid evolution in technology and industry, year by year the generation of freshmen is getting bolder and smarter. They are frequently exposed to a lot of entrepreneur success stories happening in India — or rather I would say, a lot of freshmen are thinking or are actually getting into entrepreneurship right after college.

In 2018 when we started our India operations, we were not prepared to hire freshmen. The reasons were nothing to do with the candidates but rather our concerns about safety with our project deliveries and a mindset in providing best-in-class delivery by leveraging more experienced technical people.

Last year, in 2019, we hired the first batch of freshmen (Luminate), and they surprised us to our core. The exposure they had during their education, the sharp learning curve they have and the value of culture they believed in was commendable. This completely changed our mindset and put us on a track of hiring a best-in-class Luminate group.

This year when we went into hiring for India Luminate, we were further surprised to see in just one generation of passed out (“graduated”) freshmen, how the talent and exposure has evolved. We have hired Luminate who have exposure such as playing in India’s National Team, a few presenting to India’s hon’ble PM Mr. Modi, and a few presenting on bigger platforms speaking to thousands of people. Atrium is proud to announce Jaipur Luminate 2.0.
